The project

PIXILAB Blocks provides signage, interactive displays and playback in numerous areas of the building. Consistent styling in terms of typography and layout is based on standard web technologies, such as CSS, with all content updated regularly by the local staff.

Vasa Up Close

Vasa Up Close is a permanent exhibition, showcasing noteworthy details such as the ship's many sculptures and mechanical devices. The iPad and mobile phone app takes you right up to the impressive transom and the ship's starboard side through a number of interaction points, with narration and text in several languages maintained through Blocks.

“Blocks allows us to focus on content production without constantly having to reinvent the wheel. For example, using displays for special events and repurposing content as needed. A standardized and reliable system makes our infrastructure less vulnerable compared to using several disparate systems.”
