The place

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania embodies the inquisitive mind of America's first scientist Benjamin Franklin. It's one of the oldest centers of science education and development in the USA, helping visitors understand science and technology.

The project

PIXILAB Blocks drives visual presentations and interactivity in their Wondrous Space exhibit. This is an immersive, multi-sensory, multi-story exhibit designed to inspire an excitement for space science. Being based on web technology, Blocks is also used to stream web live content such as rocket launches. Moving forward, Blocks will be used to develop applications delivering astronomy content in person, letting educators present content tailored to visitor groups.
