The place

“Juliana — A Life in Dolls” is a traveling exhibition that takes the visitor onto a journey involving the great events of the twentieth century, but highlights smaller episodes as well. It shows how Juliana of the Netherlands, as princess and queen, received this often-personal gift and that way built up a collection of 600 dolls.

The project

The temporary exhibition is an extraordinary cooperation between Dutch and German museums. Of course there had to be a random solution for displaying different media in three different languages. Blocks made it possible to offer one media tour which can be adapted easily to the local conditions of each participating museum.

“The visitors’ phones turns into powerful multi-media, multi-lingual guides.”

“Blocks drastically reduces the production time for temporary exhibitions. For example, the Juliana production took just two days, including media and control functions.”
